Yahoo Inc. said on Friday it had agreed to buy emerging fashion company "Polyvore" Polyvore to help drive traffic and promote social and mobile offerings.
She explained Yahoo, which did not disclose details of the deal, that an acquisition of a "Polyvore" that accelerates the growth of the areas of focus of the strategy.
The company focuses on four areas: mobile devices, and video, the original advertising, and social networking, to pay user engagement and advertising sales with the intensification of the battle and the competition between them and the companies, such as Google and Facebook.
And it formed revenues of the four areas mentioned above and focus of the Yahoo much about a third of total revenues during the second quarter of this year.
Yahoo and include a portfolio of both these areas of services: "Bright Roll" BrightRoll, and the development of smart devices platform applications "fluorescent" Flurry, and the purchase of mobile advertising platform "Yahoo Gemini" Yahoo Gemini, and rapid platform blogging "Tumblr" Tumblr.
The company "Polyvore", which was founded by three former Yahoo employees, has established in 2007. It specializes in helping users to mixing and matching articles own clothing or accessories and allocated within groups.
